Cockroaches

In urban areas, cockroaches are among the most common pests in homes and commercial establishments. Cockroaches can eat anything that has nutritional value, including other cockroaches and their own droppings. Cockroaches tend to congregate in dark, damp places where organic matter is available. The most common species, the German cockroach, is not an insect that can survive outdoors in cold weather. Cockroach problems therefore begin when they are introduced through packaging or furniture that contains them, for example.  But once introduced into one place, they can disperse and infest other places within a building.
