Wasp and bees

Wasps, hornets and bees are insects of the order Hymenoptera, like ants. These insects are mostly beneficial as some are major pollinators and others are predators that reduce populations of other harmful insects. On the other hand, certain species represent a risk to human health because their stings are painful and can cause dangerous reactions and sometimes death. On average, 3.3 deaths per year are caused by these insects in Canada.
